| I photographed this Jekyl Island beach one beautiful fall morning. Jekyl Island is next door to St. Simon's Island, in the Georgia Sea Islands. These Sea Oats, that grow on the beaches, are protected because they anchor the sand. They reduce or prevent drifting sand dunes that can cover roads and everything in their path. |
