A Mangrove Tree in the Florida Everglades, viewed at sunrise. The Mangrove trees are salt water tolerant and often grow in dense thickets where their roots provide nursery areas for many small fish, crabs and lobsters. When I took this photograph it was a very low tide so the roots of this tree are entirely out of the water. |
