Cape Hatteras Lighthouse in North Carolina

This photograph of the Cape Hatteras Lighthouse was taken while the lighthouse was still at a very scenic location next to the ocean.  In a real engineering feat the lighthouse has now been moved inland to protect it from ocean waves.  The shoreline has been steadily receding toward the lighthouse.
