Goose Island in St. Mary Lake

St. Mary Lake is on the east side of the
continental divide, in Glacier National Park. This beautiful
scene is uncommon, because it is a fairly unusual to have calm water
on St. Mary Lake. Montana, on the eastern side of the park, is
usually much more windy than the western side. Goose Island
gets its name from some white rocks around the island, that look
like geese from a distance. |
