This is a mother and her three offspring at a waterhole in Chitabe Botswana Africa. Elephants with their trunk up is a common sight around the waterholes. They may be smelling to see if any friends or relatives are near by. I photographed them with a long 500 mm lens because we'd already had run ins with this group. Every time we got near them mom started trumpeting and charged. |
