Hoodoos of Bryce Canyon National Park

Bryce Canyon gets its name from Ebenezer Bryce who came  to live in the area in 1875.  He came to harvest timber from the plateau of the canyon.  The fantastic pillars of sculptured rock are known as hoodoos which are caused by erosion.
