Secretary Birds got their name in an era when secretaries stuck quill pens in their wigs. These birds specialize in catching snakes. The Secretary Birds beat up the snakes with violent blows from their feet that they make into 'fists'. I photographed these birds on their nest that they made on a low thorny tree in the Masai Mara in Kenya Africa. |
