Banded Mongoose at Termite Mound Den

These two Banded Mongoose are probably adult male babysitters guarding the young in the den while the rest of the pack is out foraging.  There is always plenty of babysitting required because Banded Mongoose have up to 4 litters a year with 4 young per litter.  Over half the young die in the first three months.
