This is the beginning of a sixty camel cargo caravan on its way out from Timbuktu to the salt mines in Mali Africa. On the outbound trip the camel caravans make a circuit of the nomad camps. They carry a cargo of goods they sell to the nomads and then they go on to mine slabs of salt at Taouadeni. |
