A Cheetah running down prey on the Masai Mara in Kenya Africa. I photographed this Cheetah with a Nikon F5 on the 'continuous-high' motor drive setting, which was operating at six frames per second. In each picture frame, that were 1/6th of a second apart, the Cheetah changed from the 'gathered' position, shown in this frame, to fully stretched in the next frame. This meant the Cheetah was running at three strides per second. |
