The Wildebeest is the Rodney Dangerfield of the African Plains animals.  They just don't get no respect.  They look dumb, they act dumb, they sound dumb and a lot of people think they are dumb.  However, the other side of the coin is, their numbers are increasing which makes them, probably the most successful of the plains grazers.
