This male Impala had a small flock of Yellow-Necked Spurfowl keeping him company. Impalas are famous for their jumping ability, when they're alarmed. They can jump as high as 10 feet in the air and they can broad jump 36 feet. They need to be good jumpers because they're not that good as runners. They depend more on cover to escape predators because they're neither very fleet or enduring runners. |
