This is a male Yellow-Billed Hornbill. On a female the bare patch of skin on the throat is black rather pink, like this male. Yellow-Billed Hornbills have a special relationship with the Dwarf Mongoose. They feed on insects flushed by the Mongoose and in turn warn them of avian predators. |
