Marabou Stork

In the Ray and Steven Doan Photographic Collection

The Marabou Stork is an enormous ugly bird.  The only birds in the world with a slightly larger wingspan are the Condor and the Albatross.  It often acts like a vulture in that it eats carrion.  It dominates vultures at a carcass.  The hunched posture of this bird is a characteristic position of the Marabou Stork.
