The Karnak site is huge!  Karnak has been described as so vast and grandiose that the Egyptians must have designed it for men one hundred feet tall.  The complex of temples covers 1.6 square miles.  The Karnak site was inhabited in prehistoric times and building activity began there 4600 hundred years ago.
